What we don't buy

We're precious-metal specialists, so we focus on gold, silver, platinum and palladium only.
To keep valuations fair and fast, we don't buy:

  • Non-precious metals — stainless steel, brass, copper, titanium and the like.
  • Gold-plated, gold-filled or "rolled gold" items — these have no solid precious-metal value.
  • Costume & fashion jewellery — anything with no real gold or silver content.
  • Pearls & gemstones — including pearl necklaces and loose diamonds or stones. We pay for the precious metal in a piece, not the stones.
  • Vintage & collectable coins — we're not vintage-coin or numismatic specialists. We only buy gold and silver coins for their metal value, not old copper, commemorative or rarity-based coins.
  • Banknotes, medals & memorabilia.
  • Watches that aren't solid gold.
